The  P-CCS Middle School Dance Team is offering a skills & technique clinic to experienced middle school dancers. NOTE: All P-CCS dancers that wish to audition first need to register on this site. 

Requirements:

Must be a P-CCS RESIDENT going into 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Dancers auditioning for the middle school team should have a strong technical foundation and should be able to execute pirouettes and a la seconde turns with proper technique. Dancers will be expected to pick up the audition choreography quickly and apply coaches feedback and corrections. We are also looking for flexibility, control and performance quality. Acro skills are appreciated but not required. 

PRE-AUDITION CLINIC: (Held at Canton High School Gym)

• Friday, May 29th from 5:00 -7:00 PM. IMPORTANT: Audition Process and Scoring
  • Informational Parent meeting from 6:00-7:00 PM (We will likely hold the parent meeting in the hallway outside of the gym)

*For the pre-audition clinic and the final auditions, please wear all black, fitted dance wear. Any jazz shoe or turner is acceptable but (both) shoes must be worn for auditions. 

FINAL AUDITIONS: (Held at Michigan Dance Alliance - 8004 Sheldon Center Rd. Canton)

• Friday, June 5th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM IMPORTANT:  TEAM & AUDITION INFORMATION

(this is the date they learn the audition piece)

Documents required to attend auditions on June 5th:

1. Letter of recommendation for anyone that is new to the Program
   1. The letter will need to be from a dance teacher and speak to the dancer’s work ethic, attendance and attitude
   2. Letters will need to be emailed directly from the teacher to pcepuniteddance@pccsk12.com before Friday, June 5th.
2. Completed audition application
3. A current headshot (does not need to be a professional pic)

• Sunday, June 7th auditions starting at 12:00 PM

CURRENT 8th GRADERS (moving up to 9th in the fall) that would like to audition for the P-CEP High School Dance Team are invited to attend all dates.

This clinic will also help dancers practice the skills they will be asked to showcase if they choose to AUDITION for the P-CCS Middle School Dance Team for the 2026/27 season. In addition to practicing what will be judged during the auditions, the competition team expectations & events will be reviewed and there will be a Q&A session. *Experienced dancers are still invited to attend the clinic even if they do not plan to audition for the middle school competitive team.*
