P-CCS Early Childhood

Early Registration (current/district employee families) for the 2024/2025 School Year will open on 3/18/24. Open Registration will begin 4/1/24.

The P-CCS Early Childhood Program promotes a positive learning experience for children and their families in a safe, nurturing environment. Experiences in the classroom are designed to support children as they develop problem solving abilities, build self-esteem, increase social development, extend independence and support a sense of curiosity and wonder for learning.

The teachers possess a bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood or child development and many also hold state certification.  They, along with our paraprofessionals, are experienced in working with young children, ages 2-5. P-CCS Early Childhood teachers use the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum to support play-based learning in the classroom. The curriculum is research-based and connected to the Plymouth-Canton literacy initiative, as well as aligned to the Michigan Department of Education Early Childhood Standards of Quality. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all young learners and is the foundation that supports:

  • Social-emotional development
  • Numeracy development
  • Language and literacy development
  • Cognitive development
  • Fine and gross motor development

P-CCS Early Childhood offers the following programming:

  • 3 year olds - Half Day, School Day
  • 3 year olds - Strong Beginnings (tuition free, must complete screening) approval pending
  • 4 year olds - Half Day, School Day
  • 4 year olds - GSRP (tuition free, must complete screening)

Helpful hints for registration - there are optional fields when you enter your child's information.  There is a section that requests the year anticipated that your child will be going to kindergarten.  Also, there is a section that asks for building and teacher name.  If you know the building name, feel free to add it.  GSRP buildings will be added later after the screening process. Please leave the teacher name blank.  If ready to enroll, select the green Enroll Now button below.

Note: The 2 year old Stay & Play Child / Parent Program is now offered through P-CCS Community Education. Please visit their page for more information - pccs.reg.eleyo.com/communityed
